The market had been relatively subdued all week, but then overnight last night the S&P 500 had a nice jump. It's around 5,760 right now.
I held that ACN stock position through earnings, and it paid off. It gapped up overnight, and I ended up with a profit that was almost 4 times bigger than my intended profit target. I didn't take any extra manual action to accomplish that. My existing sell limit order automatically filled me at the gapped up price when the opening bell rang.
My BBY options hit their profit target this morning. Yesterday, I manually closed the PM option position, as explained in yesterday's email, and it ended up with a small loss.
I took on two new trades today in the stocks account. I bought positions for TRV and UDR. I haven't taken on any new option positions yet today, but I have buy limit orders in for GILD and BSX from the watch list.
My Visa option position reached its time limit today, so I'll be manually closing that one near the opening bell unless it reaches its profit target first.
