Hey Guys,
The market is down today. This week, the S&P 500 had a net drop with a lot of back-and-forth price action in between.
I had two stock positions reach their time limits today: MKC and BAX. Both ended up in the losing column. Not a great way to end the week, but overall it was a solid week for the stocks account: 6 wins and 3 losses.
The same isn't true for my options account. I had some losses come in yesterday that turned my week red in that account.
What's interesting is that both accounts use the same trading strategy, yet in any given week, the two accounts might have noticeably different results. This week is an example of that. Sometimes it's the options account that does well while the stocks account doesn't. What I try to remember is that I'm in this for the long haul, and that it's normal and expected for there to be short term fluctuations in results.
I took on some new trades today. In the stocks account, I bought positions for FXI and MOH. In the options account, I bought options for MRK and FXI.
If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
