Mindful Trader Commentary For March 21, 2022

Hey Guys,

The market is up again this morning. It's been on a roll the last week.

I've cashed in from the market's strength lately. In the main account, WPM hit its profit target this morning and one futures position hit its profit target late in the session on Friday. I also closed a couple positions that reached their time limits today (ALNY and another futures position), and both registered solid profits. In the low-priced account, EQR hit its profit target midday Friday.

And for any who followed my futures trades using the stock alternative that I post (under the ticker SPXL), a bunch of those just cashed in since my last email. It had been a long wait for a couple of those, and they finally paid off.

By the way, that futures position I closed today came super close to hitting its stoploss two different times (within 7 ticks). And then it later charged all the way back up for a solid profit. This is one of those instances where the winds of luck blew my way, and I'm making a conscientious effort to acknowledge it and let it sink in. Sometimes my mind has a negative bias, and I like to proactively let the "good" sink in to help offset that. It helps me ensure I remember the facts, and it also helps me foster gratitude.

There are no new trades today. I have buy limit orders for all the tickers on the watch list. Last week there were a couple days where some trades got triggered relatively late in the trading session. I just leave my buy limit orders open all day using a "Day" time-in-force and let them fill automatically. For any that don't fill, the buy limit orders automatically fall off at the end of the trading session. Then I repeat the process again the next day.

If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
