Hey Guys,
The market just keeps showing strength. It had that big down day last week, but responded by going right back up the last couple trading days. The market's response to down days like that gives us clues about how strong it is, and this thing sure seems to want to go up lately.
I only picked up one new position today so far. I bought options for CRM in the options account. I couldn't take on any new positions in the main account because I didn't have enough available buying power, but a few tickers showed up on the Triggered List that qualified for trades otherwise.
My GLD options hit their profit target this morning. I also manually closed TSLA since it hit its time limit, and that one locked in a partial profit.
I have four different positions where the company is schedule to report earnings overnight tonight: ETN, ROK, ZBRA, and EPD (for options). Stock prices have a tendency to get volatile right when earnings are released, so there could be a lot of movement in my portfolio overnight. I'm going to stick to the plan and hold them like usual, but if you want to avoid the potential volatility, you can consider selling those positions before the market closes today.
If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
