Hey Guys,
The S&P 500 went down 60 points overnight, but it's been working its way back up since the opening bell and has recovered 20 points since then. We'll see where it goes from here.
I had a number of positions close since my last email. I had four different positions reach their profit targets (stock positions for WFC, GILD, and DXCM, and an option position for WFC) and just one that timed out and ended up with a loss (J stocks).
And that GILD trade was a fun one. It gapped up overnight and at the opening bell it was way above my profit target. I ended up with a profit that was more than 3.5 times the amount I was targeting. That was a fun surprise and a nice boost for the account.
What's nice is that if a stock gaps up like that, I don't have to take any extra manual action to capture the extra gains. My sell limit order will automatically sell it at the higher price when the market opens.
I took on some new trades today. In the stocks account, I bought positions for ALC and JD. In the options account, I bought options for JD and DIA.
If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
