The market is up from yesterday, but there is some roller coaster action right now because Jerome Powell, the chair of the Federal Reserve, had a speech this morning. So we just have to wait and see where the ride takes us, and it's possible the market will end up right back where it started.
I bought new positions this morning. My main account has almost no available buying power, so I didn't pick up anything in that account. In the extra options account, I bought options for GILD and ANET. And in the low-priced account, I bought stocks for GILD and GDDY.
My stock position on DELL from the low-priced account hit its stoploss this morning. It had earnings reported after the market closed yesterday, and in this case it caused the price to spike downward. I also closed two other positions in that account since they reached their time limits: HTZ and RIVN. Those two tickers have been unhappy since they day I bought them. They went down when the market pulled back last week, but they didn't want to take the ride back up when the market recovered some over the last couple days.
