The market ended up having one of those big booming days yesterday. The S&P 500 is around 4,135 right now.
And it came at a great time because I had a bunch of options positions expiring yesterday. I ended up about flat overall on those expiring options positions, which was actually nice because I had been in the red with them earlier in the week.
But beyond that, I hit a number or profit targets since yesterday's email. My MRK options hit the profit target the same day as I entered the trade. So did my WCN stock position. Other stocks to hit their profit targets were BAH and WM (which gapped up past the profit target).
It's not typical to see a position hit a profit target the same day as the trade was entered. The fact that it's earnings week is causing a lot of volatility among individual stocks, and that's why wee saw an aberration like that this week.
I picked up new positions today. In the main account, I bought stock for SNY and AZN. In the options account, I bought options for AZN. In the double down account, I bought stock for AON.
I earned a dividend on my Citi stock position. Anyone who owned the stock overnight last night automatically earned it. No action is needed to receive it. Most brokerages will credit the money to your account in the next several weeks.
