The market opened at almost exactly the same place as it closed yesterday. The S&P 500 is around 4,130 right now.
I haven't picked up any new positions today. In the main account, I don't have any available buying power. I noticed that a couple tickers triggered this morning, including MSFT and PBA. I just don't have the space to take on any new positions in that account. If you are looking for trade ideas today, you can consider those trades from the Triggered List since they have a back-tested edge.
I do have buying power in my other two accounts. I'm just waiting for trades to set up right now. I'm monitoring the watch list.
I manually closed 5 options positions at the end of the day yesterday since they reached their time limits. A couple of those were close to being full size losses (ACN and NEM). The other three were relatively close to breakeven.
My VZ option position is down noticeably right now. Let's see if it snaps back after coming down such a long way.
