Things were interesting on the last week of the year.
We had a losing week to end the year. It's not uncommon for there to be selling pressure right as the year closes. A lot of people are re-calibrating their portfolios for tax purposes.
There were a couple of short positions that set up on the /MES futures early in the week. I was excited that there was a good-odds short setup right during the last week of the year, knowing that there is often selling pressure at that time. But it didn't work out this time.
It's nice that most of our positions held up through that final week of selling pressure though...
If we're lucky, the classic "January effect" will start taking shape soon. Historically there is a lot of buying pressure in January. Maybe our open positions will get the buyers they need to catapult us to some profit targets.
If you have any questions or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
